With the end of the hunting season, our team has been finally able to get back to the drawing board and work towards the final release of our game in the coming months.

Lets take a look at what our team has been working on for the past one month:

Art Update

Heiwa Village

The next location that brings in all the important gameplay elements is called Heiwa Village. This location maintains a few important characters that the player will meet throughout their journey. Think of it as the last pit stop before the player is allowed to roam the world freely, to capture monsters, beat guardians and explore the lore of our game.

The whole environment will teach the player how to farm, craft and fast travel. Players will be able to use Beacons to travel from one village to another (Note: The player needs to visit both locations first, in-order to unlock fast travel between those two points).

New locations need new characters, our art team has been busy working on different character designs alongside their back stories to give you an interesting narrative to follow.

Monster Designs

Designing a monster can be really tough, and maintaining mutations that are similar while also making sure that the growth cycle makes sense regardless of the variation in the mutations can be a challenging task.

For the past month, our art team worked on new monster designs, completed their in-battle sprites and continued working on completing the overworld sprites for previous monster designs.

Within the starter monster claim, we also introduced an important trait called Variant. This is a cosmetic trait that gives the monster a different look, in both, the battle and the overworld. Allowing you to show off your rare monsters to anyone and everyone. Not all monsters have variants, and not all variants are the same. Players will have to play the game in-order to un-reveal new mysteries and maybe catch a rare variant in the wild.

Design and Development Update

User Interface

The hunting season event was a huge source of feedback for our team, with most user issues revolving around abrupt UX and inconsistent UI. Our team has been working on the User interface revamp for the past two months.

The goal is to make the interface consistent across multiple screens as well as improve readability, add support for multiple languages and accessibility support.

Integrations

During the hunting season, character skin integrations brought in new users from different communities to try out the game. This was a small test of our full integration system.

For the past month, our team has been working on adding support for more chains, including Solana, Arbitrum, and Avalanche. In-addition to this, our team has completed the first trait based integration for an external project (11K+ combinations).

Our team will continue testing out different types of communities for integrations to see which ones perform better and help us acquire more users.

Friends & Conversations

The main structural development this month was around the friends system and chat system. This allows our community to communicate with one-another within the game itself, by sending friend requests, viewing profiles, and even PvP friendly battles (release next year).

The chat system allows players to communicate in different channels, local for the current in-game location, global for all players across different locations, trade to post P2P trade offers, and whispers to communicate with friends in personal or group chats.

Community Update

Holder Raffles

From the beginning, our team has maintained a single goal alongside building a great game and that is to provide value back to our holders.

Over the past few months, we have airdropped more than 15 different character skins to all holders, given away countless apartments and skins via weekly trivias and more.

We’re excited to announce another variation of rewards in form of Holder Raffles. These raffles will be conducted from time to time, and will allow our apartment holders to have a chance at rare in-game skins, item chests and more.

The first raffle includes a skin inspired from the community favourite starter “Caiman”.

Hunting Season

Our team is currently in the process of doing a final check for invite system rewards for Hunting Season participants.

Rewards such as Apartments and Character Skins will be distributed in the first week of August, while rewards such as Pandoro Run Skins and Apartment Furniture packs will be distributed when their utility is present in the game.

Thank you for being such an amazing and positive community!

As always we’ll keep building in public and sharing regular information regarding the development of the game.

We’re working towards pushing out so much stuff for our holders, so if you’re not already a member of our fast-growing family, join us on Discord or Twitter.
