Introducing Defimons

Defimons

The last few days at SlothFi have been nothing less than exciting. We’ve announced our upcoming MMORPG called Defimons. In this article, we’ll try to discuss what defimons is, what it means for our roadmap and for our token.

What is Defimons?

Defimons is a cross chain NFT based MMORPG, where players can buy, sell and auction their defimon NFTs. Fight wild defimons and tame them. Fight with other players in Defimon tournaments.

But what actually is a Defimon?

A defimon is nothing more than a simple animal taken from the real world. While their origin of powers is currently unknown, each defimon possesses two special attacks and two special defenses along with a normal attack and a normal defense.

Out of the two special attacks and defenses, one attack and one defense is carried throughout a defimon’s life. This means that any upgrades that the defimon might have won’t have any effect on that special attack and special defense.

Taking an example of our friend monkey, a monkey might upgrade to a gorilla at level 25. The monkey originally had two attacks, “banana attack” and “chest beat”. Once a monkey upgrades to a gorilla, it might lose its “banana attack” ability and gain a new one. But, the “chest beat” ability will be present in the gorilla as well.

But, what’s the story behind Defimons?

As humans, we have been improving our lifestyle, and standards of living for the past thousands of years. This improvement came at a cost to the wild animals. We destroyed their natural habitat, killed them and what not.

Defimons strives to be game that sends this message, of what happens when things go wrong. The game will have 2 worlds, one launched on Harmony Protocol and the other one is TBD. These two worlds will have extreme contrasts. Both worlds will spread over multiple cities.

The Westerlands, present on Harmony Protocol, will represent a harmonious world. Where humans and animals live peacefully without interrupting each other. Humans live in small towns separated by forests, while animals live in the forest. Both, rarely encounter each other.

The Winterlands, present on another blockchain, will represent a world where humans tried to take over, and failed. Even huge military tanks, cars and what not, wasn’t enough in front of the might of the Defimons.

Types of Defimons

Defimons will be divided into generations.

Gen0 and Gen1 will be minted on Harmony Protocol. These two generations will have three types: Air, Water and Land.

Gen2 and Gen3 will be minted on another blockchain. These two generations will have three types: Ice, Apocalyptic and Electric.

Each Generation will have 33 Defimons.

Although, the Wilderlands might contain more rare Defimons.

More information about Defimons will be released once our wiki goes live.

What this means for SlothFi?

The roadmap will take a lot of changes. We have decided to scratch two of our projects, called Avocado NFT Marketplace and Lazybones research tool.

These two projects will become a part of the game and will be released later.

The third project, Avocado+ will exist as a different entity, and the name will be changed to Avocado.

The game will have multiple sub-projects, such as a DEX, Marketplace, Auctions, Lottery system and much more.

Extensive details about the roadmap will be released soon.

What this means for $SLOTH?

Since the game will have a DEX, we have finally found a home for our $SLOTH token.

The token will play a major role in the game, being the main currency used to buy/sell/auction Defimons, buy health and stamina packs and buy outfits for your character.

Players will be required to stake $SLOTH in the bank to get $XSLOTH, in order to qualify for the whitelist for future Generation sales.

Each sale will have 99 normal Defimons and 1 extra rare Defimon. 99 normal Defimons will be nothing but the 3 copies of each of the 33 Defimons of that generation with randomised attributes.

Players can stake $SLOTH in the bank or in Liquidity pools present in the bank, in-order to receive rewards.

This will be discussed more in our documentation.
