With our upcoming Apartment mint, the development team has ramped up work and is ready to launch some key components of the game in the coming weeks. Let’s take a quick look at what the dev team worked on this month:
Apartment Builder
This past month was focused on improving the performance and loading times for the apartment builder. The game development team worked upon dynamic chunking for bigger apartments to allow for devices to only load the area that is visible to the user and load the rest dynamically when needed.
Battle System
The first iteration of the battle system has been completed. The game development team and the pixel art team, are currently working on complex battle animations for monster attacks. Some changes to the battle system have been also made in terms of sprite design and placement. Expect faster updates and sneak peaks regarding the battle system, in the coming months.
Map Redesign
Alongside the art redesign for monsters and the battle system, our pixel art team has been working constantly on a new art style for the characters and map designs.
Partnerships & Integrations
During the past month, over 50+ projects have been integrated into our game, in terms of character integrations, monster integrations and quest integrations. Long term partnerships include, CyberKongz, Kaiju Kingz, Neo Tokyo, etc. Expect more partnerships to be announced as our marketing team targets atleast 100+ integrations by game launch.
Minigames
The development of our first minigame has finished successfully, and it is currently being tested internally by our team. We are currently exploring more ideas for other minigames. As discussed before, our vision for Defimons is for it to be accessible to as many users as possible, hence the team also shifted some focus towards free-to-play minigames.
Contracts and Audits
We have successfully closed a partnership with Three Sigma Labs, and they will be handling all our smart contract development and audits. We’re already seeing good results in terms of optimisation of contracts and will be sharing more details about this partnership soon.
